CALL ERASMUS+KA171 SMS IN FOR INCOMING STUDENTS FROM PARTNER UNIVERSITIES FOR 2023/24
The Erasmus+ KA171 SMS IN program (Students Mobilities for Studies, Incoming students ) offers students of UCA’s partner universities the chance of carrying out part of their studies at the University of Cadiz (UCA) during the Fall semester of the academic year 2023-2024. If there are remaining funds after nominations for Fall semester, we will open a nomination period for Spring semester 2024 around September.
The Erasmus+ Programme offers students the chance to gain intercultural experience abroad, become familiar with other higher education systems and meet young people from other countries, thus contributing to the process of international integration.
Mobility students will be able to attend courses and use all the facilities available at the University of Cádiz without additional costs (excluding any fees also applicable to local students). In addition, full grant students will receive a financial aid funded with Erasmus+ funds for living expenses and travelling.
All learning activities approved in the Learning Agreement and completed successfully at UCA will be fully recognised at the home university.
IMPORTANT: The nomination by the partner university and the presentation of the application by the student implies the acceptance by both parties of the content of the bases of this call and its annexes.

Please note that nomination and admissibility does not mean final admission, this last will depend on avalaible funds and on succesfully completion by the student of the admission procedure at UCA’s.
Deadline for the nomination with the required documents: May 10, 2023
(if you won’t be able to meet the deadline, please write to us and we will confirm you if we can extend it a few more days, but no later that May 10th)

ADMISSION, STEP 1. Online application form
Link to fill in the application form: will be sent by email to admissible students after the publication of the Resolution on Admissible Students (at the end of May)
Deadline for the submission of the online application with the required documents: June 5, 2023
Required documents:
- Passport
- Spanish Language Certificate at least B1 according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Bachelor (BA)/Master (MA) students: B1 in Spanish is mandatory
MA/PhD students appliying for a research stay: altough students with a certificate in Spanish will be prioritised, they can execeptionally submit a B2 level English/French certificate but their acceptance will depend on the submission of an invitation letter from a UCA professor that has prevously accepted to supervise their research in such language.

Instructions to complete the learning agreement:
- ALL fields must be completed
- Student personal information – Study cycle: BA students must write: Bachelor or equivalent first cycle (EQF level 6) / MA students must write: Master or equivalent second cycle (EQF level 7
- Student personal information – Field of education: The ISCED-F 2013 search tool available at http://ec.europa.eu/education/tools/isced-f_en.htm should be used to find the ISCED 2013 detailed field of education and training that is closest to the subject of the degree to be awarded to the trainee by the sending institution
- TABLE A-Study program at the Receiving Institution (UCA): write the code, the name and the number of ETCS credits of the courses you want to enroll at UCA
- TABLE B-Recognition the Sending Institution (home university): write the name and the number of ETCS credits (or equivalent) of the courses that will be recognized at your home university upon successful completion of the courses chosen at UCA
- Commitment-Student: write your name and email
- Commitment-Responsible person at the Sending Institution: write the name, email and position of the responsible person for signing the learning agreement at your home university
- Commitment-Responsible person at the Receiving Institution: write the name and email of the international mobility coordinator at the faculty you want to enroll at UCA (check FactSheet)

Instructions to complete the learning agreement:
- ALL fields must be completed

Deadline for sending LA before using UCA’s template (Annex VI) via the submission form: June 5, 2023 (BA/MA students) / June 9, 2023 (PhD students for research stay)
Deadline for evaluation of LA before proposals by UCA’s academic coordinators: June 21, 2023
Note for admissible students: Please, once you have sent your proposal, be patient and don’t write again to UCA’s coordinators or the Internationalization Office asking about updates. You will be given an answer when the deadline is over. Don’t write neither to the Internationalization Office asking about UCA’s courses and updates about LA before approval, we don’t manage academic issues, only administrative ones. International mobility coordinators are the only ones entitled to give you information about courses.

Partner universities with nominations pending amendment must send the required documents listed on the resolution by e-mail to gestion.ka107@uca.es before June 2, 2023, otherwise the nomination will be rejected.
Students with “admissible” status on the provisional resolution will receive information about the admission procedure by e-mail on May 31, 2023 from the email adress erasmus.ka107.incoming@uca.es
Provisional decission on Accepted Students Applications for the 1st semester 2023-24 (11/07/2023)
The excluded applicants will have 5 working days from the publishing of the Provisional Decission in order to to erasmus.ka107.incoming@uca.es
Final decission on Accepted Students for the 1st semester 2023-24 (to be published mid-July 2023)
