Objetives MELE will develop four intellectual products during its implementation:

  • a survey on the teaching of transversal competences in legal studies (O1) to analyse the current status, including transversal competences in existing teaching and learning.
  • an online course in academic skills in a European and international context (O2) which will be used to teach students and PhD candidates the skills necessary for scientific research and work in a European and international context.
  • a teaching methods guide (O3) which compiles handouts and samples of new and innovative teaching methods, such as legal clinics and simulated scenarios, which enhance the teaching skills of academic staff. This guide will provide teaching staff with the necessary teaching skills for transversal competences, through which students’ skills will be enhanced and their employability strengthened.
  • a publication/collection of articles “Law and beyond” explaining the links of cross-cutting themes for legal teaching and research (O4) opening up new fields of research for lawyers.
