The main purpose of the project is to have a broad and long term impact on society. For this reason, open educational material of superior level will be developed on open-source learning and training platform, obeying an open access policy. It will contain educational material for on-line learning courses; training-the-Trainers material, workshops and assessments. Multilingual guidelines created for informing trainers on acting in a virtual environment, designing syllabi for any request, and performing examination will be available via the information point (Project Website). Additionally, the project’s evaluation reports will be linked to project’s web site available to all those interested.

The project’s aim is to enable university students on Education Sciences, Social Sciences and Communication to explore values and practices of commons pedagogy and becomeacquainted on using innovative methodologies and tools leading to the development of a commons-based educational environment helping children to act as “commoners”.
Through the development of Short-cycle training courses on “Commoning Practices”, based on a blended learning scheme, university students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge around the “commons” discourse (commons’ logic of sharing and caring, fair and open relations, co-participation in the production or provision of knowledge) and develop skills for building/strengthening the identity of commoner both for them and their future students.Foster socio-educational and personal development within the Higher Education community.

The UCA team is formed by 5 women. It is characterized by its interdisciplinarity as the researcher’s background is related to Sociology, Human Rights and Development, Social Work and Social Anthropology, Social Education and Gender Studies, Education Science, and Communication and Filming. UCA team participates in every output of the project and will contribute to the mainstreaming of gender interdisciplinary perspectives all through the project. Specifically, UCA organizes the first “Short-term joint staff training activity” (April 2021) on developing blended learning and e-training methodologies as well as on acting as a trainer within the ComPra short-cycle training courses.
