Transnational meeting of the G-Force project: contributing to training on gender equality and gender diversity in higher education

The University of Cádiz participated in a transnational meeting of G-Force (enForcing gender equality and cOntributing to sexual oRientation respeCt in a higher Education institutions alliance) at Panteion University in Athens, Greece, on 27th and 28th January 2026.

The outcome of this meeting was the consolidation of an open-access training course on gender equality and sex-gender diversity aimed at the entire university educational community. This course, which is open access and completely free of charge, can be found at the top right of the official G-Force website (https://gforce-project.eu/es/g-force-es/). Once you have completed the course, you will receive a certificate indicating the number of hours you have spent learning.

This course is one of the many results achieved over the three years of implementation of this Erasmus+ project (Key Action 203), whose main objective has been to empower the higher education community in the fight against gender bias, respect for sex and gender diversity, and the creation of a network of universities interested in this topic. Among the institutions participating in the project are the Università della Tuscia (Italy), Panteion University (Greece), Xenio Polis (Greece), SC Gripen Europe (Romania), Research and Education of Social and Transformation N-Reset (Cyprus) and the University of Cádiz (Spain).

The meeting in Athens was attended by representatives from the University of Cadiz: professor and researcher Begoña Sánchez Torrejón (also a member of the Andalusian Observatory for Sex-Gender Diversity, Citizenship, Health and Education); professor and researcher Macarena Machín Álvarez; and project technician from the Internationalisation Office Javier Izquierdo Antón.
