Overview: The main objective of GREENO2 is to show green roofs as a tangible response of the academic community to environmental protection, active participation and general improvement of well-being in higher education. The project is committed to providing environmental education and fostering a culture of ecological responsibility among students, academic staff and the community in general.


Furthermore, the project aims
serve as a catalyst for the implementation of green roofs in research centers. These spaces, designed for study, recreation and active participation, They will contribute to configuring a more ecological, sustainable and attractive university environment.

Goals Specific objectives: Greeno2 aims to achieve 4 priority objectives:

  • Raise awareness in the academic community about the challenge of climate change and promote effective responses through training initiatives and campaigns informative. 
  • Increase the resilience of universities to climate change, promote the practice of green roofs as a strategy to mitigate the impact environmental in urban institutions 
  • Promote active and participatory citizenship within the community academic offering opportunities of civic engagement through learning activities focused on the development of social skills, critical thinking and environmental awareness. 
  • Recognize the key role of universities in involving the community to address environmental challenges. Implement actions that reflect the latest European and global priorities to contribute significantly to the fight against climate change.
