TransfrontEU

The three Andalusian universities of Málaga, Cádiz, and Huelva have formed the TransFrontEU consortium, which focuses primarily on the need to improve cross-border relations in various geographical regions affected by conflicts of cultural or socioeconomic origin. This consortium aims to promote dialogue and mutual understanding through the exchange of staff and students, the creation of synergies, and the enhancement of best practices in higher education. These elements constitute its primary objective.

From a thematic perspective, a set of areas of work related to cross-border relations has been defined, which include:

Globalization and Interculturality: Addressing the challenges and opportunities arising from the interaction between different cultures in an increasingly interconnected world.

Sustainable Development: Promoting practices that ensure a balance between economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection, including the technological transformation necessary to achieve these goals.

Governance among Higher Education Institutions: Establishing frameworks for collaboration and best practices that strengthen cooperation between universities and other educational institutions.

Equality and Inclusion: Fostering an educational environment that guarantees equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.

The mission of TransFrontEU is to expand and strengthen its ties and exchanges with countries associated with the program in the regions of Asia, Eastern Neighborhood, and Russia. This is achieved through collaboration with counterparts with whom they have already established prior relationships, thus consolidating a working network through KA171 projects. Through these initiatives, the consortium seeks not only to enrich the educational experience of its students but also to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for the cross-border challenges faced by these regions.
