The University of Palermo will celebrate the 18th edition of the summer school Migrants, Human Rights, Democracy

The 18th edition of the summer school Migrants, Human Rights, Democracy at the University of Palermo is a vibrant international course aimed at PhD and master’s students, as well as professionals working in the field of forced migrations, refugees and humanitarianism, offering professional experience in an international context. This year’s edition is dedicated to delving into the most important issues for NGOs: security, law, and geopolitics. Specifically, NGOs are facing new challenges in a world where the integrity of their volunteers is constantly at stake, making these two functions – security and protection – a fundamental support to keep projects running.

This course is characterized by advanced training and the ongoing professionalization of both EU and non-EU students, also serving as an event that attracts cultural tourists.
