UCA International Summer School

UCA International Summer School

The UCA International Summer School is a unique opportunity for students from all over the world who wish to broaden their knowledge and skills in an international academic environment during the summer. This intensive programme is designed to offer an enriching educational experience, combining theoretical classes with practical and cultural activities.


In addition to its academic offerings, the UCA Summer School provides an exciting array of cultural and social experiences. Participants can enjoy excursions to explore the rich history and culture of Cádiz and its surroundings, immerse themselves in workshops on Spanish cooking, dancing, and music, take part in language exchange programs, and engage in various sports and recreational activities at the region’s stunning beaches and natural parks.

For instance, on Saturday July 12th, participants will have the opportunity to join a unique touristic tour.

    International Course on Parasitic Plants: Problems and Solutions

    This course deals with research on parasitic plants, their species and sustainable control methods, including biological and chemical strategies based on natural compounds. It runs from 7 to 11 July 2025.

    Eco-Tools-Coast (ETC): Advanced Skills on Coastal Environments

    Through this course, participants will be introduced to advanced techniques for the study of coastal environments, including remote sensing, drones and numerical modelling. It runs from 7 to 12 July 2025.

    Measurements and Applications of Radionuclides in the Marine Environment

    This course deals with the measurement and application of radionuclides in the marine environment, addressing advanced techniques for their detection and analysis in environmental samples. It runs from 7 to 11 July 2025.

    Shark Week: Biology, Conservation, and Knowledge

    The course provides an in-depth look at the biology, physiology and conservation of sharks, combining theoretical lectures, data analysis and practical activities. It runs from 7 to 11 July 2025.

    Psychological well-being and Health

    This course focuses on strategies to improve psychological well-being and prevent stress and burnout, with a practical and applicable approach to everyday life. It runs from 15 to 19 September 2025.

    Ukraine and Palestine in the Crosshairs: International Law Between War and Peace

    It explores Public International Law in contexts of war and peace, analysing cases such as Ukraine and Palestine from a theoretical and practical approach. It will be held from 15 to 19 September 2025.

    An Invitation to Computational Fluid Dynamics from Fundamentals to Applications

    It is dedicated to the study of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), combining theoretical foundations, Python programming and practical applications with OpenFOAM. It will be held from 15 to 19 September 2025.

    Building Smart Web Apps with AI

    This course deals with the development of intelligent web applications with AI, exploring language models, integration with Java and Vaadin, and techniques such as prompt engineering. It runs from 7 to 11 July 2025.
