| Soil Science | Bachelor | 4* | English | 1er or 2nd sem | The main objectives of this subject are the following: To introduce the student to soil science and the basic knowledge of its components. To understand the physico-chemical properties of soil. To understand the conditioning factors and processes of genesis and evolution in order to characterise and classify the different types of soils. To know the bases of soil fertility and the processes of vine nutrition. To understand the relationship between vines and vineyard soils. Establish relationships between soil types and the organoleptic characteristics of wines.
This course belongs to the Degree in Oenology. Lecturers with teaching and research experience in soil science, especially, but not only, in relation to viticulture and oenology. |
